About the academy

 

Dutch Invertuals Academy is an intensive, online program for young professionals interested in developing their skills and career. Experienced tutors, lecturers, and special guests from our vast Invertual network of designers, guide participants through this inspiring journey. They share their knowledge and working methods in a wide range of workshops, lectures, one-to-one video calls, and critical feedback sessions.

The first 6-week Academy program, themed ‘True Matter’, was launched in the summer of 2020. In this program we challenge designers to work with raw materials from their local context and to play with their surroundings – not only in terms of resources, but also in terms of techniques, craftmanship, and traditions. True Matter sheds a light on local identities and gives insight into what truly matters.

Since 2020 we have worked with 40 designers from all around the world and we constantly launch new Academy programs.
